How it goes
Choose your piece
A small plate is prepared for you. Prefer a larger vessel? +¥1,000, paid in cash on the day
Join the pieces
Put the broken pieces back together
Fill & smooth
Fill the chips and cracks, then smooth the surface
Paint the gold lines
Trace every crack with gold — the kintsugi moment
Tea & take it home
Relax with tea and sweets, then take your finished piece home

Good to know
This is simplified kintsugi: no real urushi lacquer is used, so there is no risk of a lacquer rash and your piece is finished the same day.
Finished pieces are for decorative use — please don’t use them for food or drink.
